Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson said he felt guilty about the death of rapper 2pac Shakur, which happened in 1996.
The rapper was in Las Vegas to see Mike Tyson’s fight against Bruce Seldon the night he was shot to death. Tyson says he feels like he pushed 2Pac to be there.
The boxer wanted to walk to the ring while a personalized rapper track played at the place of the fight. Tyson says he harassed the singer to bring the recording to a tape.
“It was a very bad day when it happened. It was very bad”, said Tyson in an interview with Vlad on YouTube.
“I felt a little guilty that he came to the fight, I was pressing him: ‘Hey, you want to bring the tape, don’t forget the tape he added.
Tyson also said that after the fight, he planned to join the rapper at the nightclub where 2Pac was shot, but said he changed his plans because his son was born and he decided to return to his family’s home.
